Welcome to AID, Berkeley Chapter

Association for India's Development (AID) is a volunteer movement committed to promoting sustainable, equitable and just development. In solidarity with non-violent people's struggles, AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as agriculture, education, livelihoods, natural resources, health, women's empowerment and social justice.

AID Conference 2012:

AID Bay Area and Berkeley chapters are thrilled to hold the AID annual conference in Bay Area this year. Please register for the whole conference or just RSVP for the keynote speeches. The conference will be a great learning experience for our host chapters and hopefully all the attendees flying from different chapters. 

 

 

AID Berkeley is kicking off it's first annual San Francisco half-marathon training program. Please join our RFI Berkeley meetup group to get updates about our group training runs.

Dr.Ravi Kuchimanchi, the founder of AID, who was inspiration for the movie, Swades will be interviewed on the Desi 1170am radio channel from 9:05am to 9:20am on Friday, May 18th. More details about the talk can be found HERE

AID Berkeley organized a successful fundraiser, Saaz 2012, on 21st of January, 2012 to support Eureka SuperKidz.

Where we meet:

AID's Berkeley chapter is based in Berkeley, California. We meet every Wednesday at 7.30pm in Room 104 of the GPB (Genetics and Plant Biology) building  within the University of Berkeley, California campus (please subscribe to the mailing list for last minute updates).
